About MyStaq Health

MyStaq Health is building a better way for women to navigate supplements. We help users discover personalized supplement stacks, check for potential interactions with their medications, and make informed decisions backed by science.

We're an early-stage startup with a live personalization quiz, a medication–supplement interaction checker, and a growing science library covering 35+ ingredients. We're now building our social media presence and looking for someone to help make women's health information more accessible, engaging, and trustworthy.

You'll work directly with a second-time founder and Georgetown MBA, helping shape how a women's health startup builds its audience, creates content, and collaborates with experts from the ground up.

What You'll Do

  • Research creators and collaboration opportunities. Identify influencers, Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs), and other credible voices in women's health, nutrition, and wellness. Research their content, audience, and style, and help us identify people we'd love to collaborate with.
  • Brainstorm and develop Reel concepts. Come up with creative short-form video ideas, hooks, scripts, and formats for Instagram. Think about how we can make science-backed health information interesting and shareable, with RDNs and other experts potentially serving as the faces of our content. You won't need to be on camera yourself.
  • Build our content series. Help develop recurring formats like Medicine or Marketing (does this supplement actually work?) and Myth or Science (does creatine cause hair loss? Does biotin help hair growth?). Research topics, pitch ideas, and figure out how we can bring them to life with experts and creators.
  • Translate science into content people actually want to watch. Work with our medical reviewer to turn clinician notes and scientific research into accessible scripts, captions, and supporting carousels. The goal: make complex health topics easy to understand without compromising accuracy or resorting to hype and fear-mongering.
  • Explore and coordinate collaborations. Help us reach out to potential creators and experts, develop collaboration ideas, and coordinate content from initial conversations through publication.
  • Help shape our social media strategy. Track what resonates, explore emerging trends, and bring new ideas to the table. Whether it's testing a new Reel format, collaborating with a creator, or making the case for TikTok, you'll have room to experiment and influence our direction.

How We Work

You'll report directly to the founder. Expect one 30-minute check-in each week, with the rest of the work asynchronous and flexible around your classes. You'll need your own laptop; we'll cover Canva Pro and any other agreed-upon tools.

We're planning to bring on a small cohort of around three interns, so you'll also get to brainstorm, exchange ideas, and collaborate with each other. You'll have the chance to learn as a team while helping shape MyStaq's content and social media presence.

What You'll Walk Away With

  • A real portfolio. Published content with actual performance metrics behind it, not just class projects.
  • Ownership from day one. Help shape our creator strategy and content direction, with meaningful contributions you can speak to in future interviews.
  • A LinkedIn recommendation from the founder. One that reflects what you actually worked on and accomplished.
  • A valuable niche skill. Learn to work with clinicians and translate medical information into engaging content, a skill relevant to health brands, hospitals, pharma, and wellness startups.
  • A front-row seat to startup building. Work directly with the founder, see how decisions get made, and understand what it takes to build a brand from scratch.
  • Academic credit, if your program offers it. We can complete your school's required forms, sign the learning agreement, confirm your hours, and fill out the end-of-term evaluation. Check with your career center or academic department about eligibility and requirements.

Who This Is For

  • A student or recent graduate interested in marketing, communications, journalism, public health, nutrition, or pre-health. We're open to different backgrounds.
  • Someone who spends time on Instagram or TikTok and has opinions about why some content takes off while most gets scrolled past.
  • A creative thinker who enjoys researching people, spotting trends, brainstorming ideas, and turning them into compelling content.
  • A strong writer who knows how to be concise. Twelve words on a slide can be harder than 1,200 in a paper.
  • Someone comfortable with Canva and, ideally, familiar with CapCut or similar video-editing tools.
  • Curious about health and skeptical of wellness hype. Bonus points if you've ever Googled "does X actually work?" at 1 a.m.

You don't need a medical background, an established following, or experience as a content creator. We care about curiosity, creativity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

A Note on Compensation

This is an unpaid internship, and we want to be upfront about that. We can offer hands-on experience, work you'll be proud to show, a meaningful reference, and direct mentorship from the founder.

If we raise funding during or after your internship, you'll be among the first people we consider for a paid role. We can't promise a future position, but we'd welcome the opportunity to continue working together if the timing and funding align.

Academic credit may be supported where your program permits it. If this opportunity fits your goals and circumstances, we'd love to hear from you.

How to Apply

Email contact@mystaqhealth.com with the subject line “Marketing Intern” and include:

  1. Your Instagram/TikTok account or portfolio. A personal account is absolutely fine.
  2. One content idea. What's a supplement myth you'd want to bust, and how would you turn it into an engaging Reel?
  3. One creator you'd collaborate with. Share an influencer, RDN, or health professional you think would be a good fit for MyStaq, and tell us why in a sentence or two.
  4. Confirm your availability for approximately 4–5 hours per week. The initial commitment is three months, but we're flexible on the duration for the right fit.

No cover letter needed. We care more about how you think, your curiosity, and your ideas than a polished application.
